Meet Coach Annette

I’m not here to help you become the woman you used to be. I’m here to help you reclaim the strength that has always been part of who you are.

Hi, I’m Annette Knoll—personal trainer, menopause coach, wife, mom, grandma, lifelong learner, and a woman who understands firsthand that menopause can make you question a body you thought you knew.

For more than 20 years, I’ve helped people build strength, improve their health, and discover that they are capable of far more than they believed.

Then menopause made my work personal.

When My Body Changed, My Approach Had to Change Too

I entered menopause as an experienced trainer who already understood exercise and nutrition. I knew how to work hard. I knew how to train. Yet even with all that experience, I began noticing changes in my energy, recovery, body composition, sleep, and the way my body responded to what had always worked.

I realized how confusing this transition must feel for women who have been handed the same tired advice for years:

“Eat less.”

“Move more.”

“Try harder.”

Women deserve better than that.

Menopause is not a sign that your body is broken, but it does change what your body needs. Understanding those changes can replace frustration and self-blame with informed choices, confidence, and a plan that finally makes sense.

That realization became Strong Through Menopause.

Why I Created Strong Through Menopause

I created this program to give women the support I believe we should have had all along.

You deserve to understand what is happening in your body and why. You deserve strength training designed for this chapter—not a watered-down workout because someone has decided you are “too old,” and not a punishing plan that ignores your sleep, stress, symptoms, and recovery.

You deserve to eat in a way that fuels your body instead of starving it.

Most importantly, you deserve a coach who sees you as a whole woman—not a number on a scale or a collection of menopause symptoms.

What Coaching With Me Feels Like

I am warm, supportive, honest, and occasionally the loving pain in the ass you need in your corner.

I will meet you where you are, but I will not encourage you to stay there simply because it feels familiar. I believe in appropriate challenges, honest conversations, realistic adjustments, and celebrating progress that extends far beyond weight loss.

I don’t expect perfection. I expect communication.

If something hurts, we adjust. If life becomes overwhelming, we find the version you can do. If you are capable of more but fear is holding you back, I may lovingly remind you:

“You can, and you will—to prove to yourself that you can.”

Your program includes workouts, education, daily encouragement, weekly check-ins, accountability, and personal coaching because lasting change requires more than access to an exercise app. It requires someone paying attention, listening, and helping you move forward.

My Coaching Philosophy

Strength is about far more than what you can lift in a gym.

It is carrying your groceries, traveling confidently, getting down on the floor with your grandchildren, protecting your bones, staying independent, trying new things, and trusting your body again.

It is having the physical and emotional capacity to participate fully in your own life.

You may want to lose body fat, improve your energy, or feel better in your clothes—and those goals matter. But we are not here to shrink your life or punish your body.

We are building a body that supports the life you still want to live.

Beyond the Gym

I am a wife, mom, and grandma. I love heavy strength training, traveling, golfing, laughing with the people I love, and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

I believe life is a gift, strength creates choices, and laughter makes almost everything better.

I am not interested in sitting quietly on the sidelines of my own life—and I do not want that for you either.

You Are Not Too Old, and It Is Not Too Late

You do not need to arrive fit, confident, or completely motivated.

You simply need to be willing to begin.

I’ll help you understand your body, build your strength, fuel yourself well, and create habits that support the woman you are becoming.

Because this chapter is not the end of your story.

It may be the chapter where you finally recognize your own strength.

Building the strength to enjoy every chapter of your life.
